Once upon a time, in the majestic and magical kingdom of Tint, there lived a beautiful princess. She was named Marigold but always preferred to go by Marie. She lived in a gigantic palace on the edge of a humongous cliff. The cliff overlooked the Tint Sea, which miraculously always had a bright teal hue. She spent most of her days with her magical pet unicorn, Buttercup. Buttercup was perfect company for the lonely princess Marie. After a long and tiring day working around the castle, she decided she wanted to make Marie feel better. Buttercup was exceptionally good at cheering Marigold up, she would take her on a flight around the palace and brighten all of Marie's spirits no matter how dark and gloomy that day may be. Marie excitingly hopped onto Buttercup, unaware of the mysterious and exciting adventure ahead.
The first thing spotted on Marie's adventure was a fierce ruby red dragon! Marie found it outside of a cave not too far from the castle. It's scales shined in the harsh sunlight that cause Marie to sweat profusely. Embarrassed by this "manly" trend, Marie ran around the corner to clean herself up in case any handsome princes decided to stroll by. But before she pulled out her silk handkerchief to fix herself, she noticed a beam of light reflecting on her skin. It was coming from the dragon-the dragon's collar in fact! The dragon went by the name of Eleanor. Marie gasped, Eleanor was the most feared creature in all of Tint! Suddenly a giant yawn opened the dragon's mouth, petrifying Buttercup and Marigold. They thought they would be eaten, or at the very least burned to death by Elanor's world-famous fire-breath. But instead of eating them, Eleanor opened her mouth wide, but nothing happened! Only a tiny squeaking noise was released. Princess Marie thought for a few minutes while she gracefully paced around the space.
Eventually, Marie realized that it wasn't Eleanor at all. In fact, it was Elanor's not-so-evil twin, Mario! After putting more pieces together, Marie realized that Mario was dressed up as his sister because of the other dragons that bullied him. He dressed as Elanor because all the dragons feared her. After recognizing who he was, Marie immediately greeted the dragon with a wave and soon befriended the dragon. She spent the afternoon telling the dragon stories that she was told when she was young. Even Marie's favorite one about the prince who was trapped in stone by his evil step mother. Marie loved that story because she thought it was a glorious idea to have a prince who loved her. The princess dreamed of a handsome prince all her life but she has come to terms over the past year that she will never get one. She became content with the idea of getting cats, unicorns, and dragons to cuddle with instead of some stupid prince.
After story-time and eventually nap-time, the three buddies moved to the woods to explore. While playing in the woods , the three new best friends came across a prince who looked like he had been contained in stone. The team tapped and smacked and slapped and kicked the stone as hard as they possibly could until thy realized it was locked into place by a magical spell. Unfortunately, the mold and tarnish on the prince made him appear to be a statue for at least 100 years. It seemed as those the three buddies were the only people to even attempt getting the prince out. The princess buckled at her knees and began to cry, she couldn't believe her eyes hers hearts dream was right in front of her but trapped in stone that appeared invincible.Hours pass as the three friends try everything they can to turn the mysterious prince back to normal, but none of their remedies worked. Suddenly, the Princess leaped up and shouted out as she ran away towards the castle, “I HAVE AN IDEA!!”. Marigold ran all the way back to the palace and grabbed the book titled, “Reverse Singing Spells".
The book used to belong to her grandmother and she loved reading from it but she always assuming it was just a silly book. It wasn't until this moment where the spells appeared non-fictional to her. Once she returned to her friends and the statue and began to explain to her friends about what she had read in the book. She wasn't sure if it would work, but she would sure try. And so they all began to sing a spell from the book. "Oh handsome prince stuck in stone, please return at once to home.”, they sang with hope-but nothing happened. They attempted the haunting rhyme for a few hours until the sun began to set. The princess, becoming doubtful, sang one last time with all of her heart. All of a sudden, a noise in the tree reached their ears. To her it sounded as though a large creature was moving about the forest. But really it was a tree branch falling. She jumped out of the way of the branch just in time for it to fall and hit Mario right on the tail. Mario screamed a scream so strong that it broke the stone! The stone split in two and the prince stumbled out of the statue. He met a gaze with Marigold and the two immediately knew they were in love with one another!
The prince whose name turned out to be Edward, and Marigold the princess of Tint spent every second with each other. He told her stories about his past before the stone and what it was like as a statue. The princess would tell him how she had dreamed of a prince for her life, and how lonely it was in the castle with only a dragon and unicorn to keep her company. The prince happily stopped her dream and made it a reality. So the prince and the princess lived happily ever in the majestic and now beautiful kingdom of Tint. The End
